In version 2.40.0-2 gst-plugins-bad-libs package was added as a dependency of this package in this commit: https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/commit/efead7eecf0c177ea792fa54942f33707485ea85

I believe that this is a mistake. The package is labeled 'bad' for a reason. I think the dependency should be optional in the same manner as gst-plugins-bad.

A similar issue was handled years ago here: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/48651

This also affects webkit2gtk-4.1: (https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/commit/ba6487c7df8dcab668a7e187497c0116f59fb2c3)

???

$ readelf -d /usr/lib/libwebkit2gtk-4.0.so.37.63.1 | grep gsttranscoder
0x0000000000000001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libgsttranscoder-1.0.so.0]

It's only the "-libs" pkg anyway. The full "gst-plugins-bad" is not pulled in and that was the issue back in  FS#48651 . Being "bad" is a non-issue.
