Current outdated package version creates code that cannot be debugged by GDB, causing internal errors on breakpoint: warning: (Internal error: pc 0x401000 in read in CU, but not in symtab.) warning: (Error: pc 0x401000 in address map, but not in symtab.) asm code assembled by both Gnu GAS, and yasm, assemble correctly and debug correctly, only happening on version 1.15.05 of nasm Additional info: Nasm 1.15.05 (Latest on arch repos, outdated compared to upstream) https://stackoverflow.com/questions/75713295/arch-linux-gdb-error-pc-0x401000-in-address-map-but-not-in-symtab-occured (bug reported in stackoverflow) Steps to reproduce: write any valid assembly code; assemble with nasm and link with ld; run with gdb, attempt to create any breakpoint. |
