Description:
After a kernel update on my Laptop resuming from suspend/hibernate does not work anymore. It does not resume to Gnome Desktop or terminal, it just shows a black screen with no backlight. I'm using a LVM on LUKS setup, it happens after entering the passphrase.
It does not resume with linux(6.2.6-arch1-1) kernel but with linux-lts (6.1.19-1-lts) it works.

Additional info:
Kernel: 6.2.6-arch1-1
CPU: Intel Core m7-6Y75
GPU: HD Graphics 515 (SKL GT2)

Steps to reproduce:
- hibernate (suspend to disk)
- wakeup
- enter passphrase

Therefore kernel regression most likely. General debugging advice here [1]. Please let us know what you find out.

@Toolybird same problem with linux-mainline

I have the same issue. Not sure whether it started with linux 6.2.6 or a few versions before but it works with linux-lts. I don't use disk encryption though.

The resume process seems OK but when it ends, I get a black screen with a white underscore instead of the login screen.

journalctl gives nothing between the beginning of the resume and the crash, as if it never happened.

Still happening with latest kernels? If yes, please report it upstream. Intel GPU issues can be reported upstream here [1]
