Details

Description:

System freezes when running `iwd station wlan0 scan`. This is 100% reproducible.

The computer just freezes, the fans start spinning, and a force reboot is mandatory.
There is nothing relevant in journalctl.

Additional info:

- I have a Qualcomm Atheros AR9462 Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01) (ath9k diver)
- This bug does not happen in Linux <= 6.1.12, but in >= 6.2

Additional comments about closing:  In the linked bugzilla, a patch has been proposed. Hopefully fixed by upstream in a future update.

Therefore it appears to be a kernel regression. General advice here [1]. I tried searching on lore.kernel.org but couldn't spot anything obvious. You might have to report it upstream. Please let us know what you find out.
