DetailsDescription:
Lapce is missing icons pretty much everywhere in Gnome excepted software list: it's missing in alt-tab (application switcher), in the "dock" and "expose" view when pressing SUPER key and so on. I reported this upstream and talked about it on Matrix but maintainer considered it to be a distro issue, see https://github.com/lapce/lapce/issues/2199 for upstream report - this doesn't contain this conversation though. I was pointed to https://github.com/lapce/lapce/blame/9845c1a0b3fbfd6afdc0fb1504d3be78764e0c7b/extra/linux/dev.lapce.lapce.desktop#L10 that should cover it. Steps to reproduce: Just run Lapce under Gnome environment. |

Yes, I said "default" Gnome which of course is Wayland. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what it is you're missing. Those screenshots in the linked upstream issue are unclear. Please detail *exactly* what the problem is to make it super clear.
Second screenshot is the expose (press super key) case.
In both of those, I stroked the issue in red.
Last screenshot finally is the only one case with no issue: when you go into the applications list view.
Yeah, can repro now and I see what you mean. /usr/share/pixmaps is a valid location according to the spec [1] so this almost looks like a GNOME bug of sorts, but I'm unclear on the full icons deal. Maybe it's expected in this circumstance?
@heftig, could you please advise us on this one?
