Description: Since last update I get the following error message on shutdown:
"spi-nor spi0.0: Softwarereset failed: -524".
This behavior was confirmed on various desktops (KDE, Gnome, no desktop), thus is not desktop related.
The error message does not seem to cause any issue or delay in the shutdown process

Steps to reproduce: auto update, reboot and then shutdown

Seems pretty benign then? i.e. there's no actual problem?

intel-spi is a kernel subsystem, e.g. see  FS#71325 . But you haven't provided *any* detail of the kernel version, your hardware details, etc. Either way, this seems like the kind of thing that upstream will sort out eventually. If you're worried about it, please report it upstream. General advice for kernel regressions here [1]. Please let us know what you find out.

Kernel version 6.2.2 (zen and regular).
Benign indeed => upstream it is...

Still happening with latest kernels? Any luck reporting upstream?
