Hello there,

Arch no longer boots after the most recent LTS kernel (6.1) update. I had the same problem when I was on the stable version; after the update, it also failed. Downgrading saved me in both cases. I'm not sure why this is happening, so I tested Fedora with the most recent kernel. The same result. As I understood the issue with my laptop's old hardware, everything worked fine on my mini pc with newer hardware.

This confirms it's an upstream problem. It's unfortunate but there is little we can do with the info provided. I suggest you try the latest 6.2.1 kernel in [testing] then visit the proper support channels (forum/IRC/etc) to see if anyone can help in tracking down the issue. The general advice for kernel regressions is here [1]. Please let us know if you have any luck.

Hello,
Thank you for the clarification and link.
I found on fedora's forum the person with the similar issue and quite the same laptop. There was some advice on a solution, which I will try this weekend, but in any case, someone might find this link useful right now.

If that fixes the issue then it would appear to be a duplicate of  FS#77631

Yep, I can confirm the issue was in the wifi adapter or in the driver. I blacklisted it, and now the last version of kernel works. Sorry for the duplicate issue.
