Description:
When I try to start an application from the task manager widget or the kickoff menu it gives me a notification about there not being enough memory when there actually is; desktop icons don't show up despite having the desktop settings all set up correctly; the plasmashell process has frequent memory leaks forcing me to kill it. This has been happening for the past few weeks and has been extremely annoying and even reinstalling my whole system did not fix the issue.

Additional info:
* Plasma 5.27.1 with KDE Frameworks 5.103.0 and Qt 5.15.8
* Kernel 6.1.12-arch1-1
* Lenovo ThinkPad X220 Tablet with LUKS-encrypted BTRFS drive
