Description:

"Attach file" dialog freezes a lot. See screencast in file telegram.mp4.

Version from https://desktop.telegram.org/ works smoothly. See screencast in file telegram_works.mp4.

I guess, the problem lies in the different file chooser. Seems like the version from upstream uses GTK file chooser, and the Arch version uses Qt file chooser, which doesn't work for me.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open any dialog.
2. Click "Attach file".

Expected behaviour: can choose file smoothly.

Actual behaviour: UI freezes a lot.

Hm I'm not really sure how telegram determines which file picker to use. Can you check with upstream?

I've fixed the problem: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/qt#File_dialog_are_very_slow_and_crash_the_related_application

Removed file ~/.config/QtProject.conf, that helped
