Details
According to the repo-add man page:
A package database is a tar file, optionally compressed. Valid extensions are “.db” followed by an archive extension of “.tar”, “.tar.gz”, “.tar.bz2”, “.tar.xz”, or “.tar.Z”. However, repo-add also recognises the extension ".tar.zst", using get_compression_command in /usr/share/makepkg/util/compress.sh. pacman can also handle databases compressed with zstd. |
