mpv is going to deprecate waf support in the 0.36.0 release, this is just a notification to the maintainers that they should switch to meson when convenient. Meson has been fully supported in mpv since 0.35.0 and is feature complete with waf.

Please try mpv 1:0.35.0-5 and see if it works for you...
