Description:

This happens with various action but most frequently when ZIPping file with the built in "Create Archive..." feature.
Upon completion of creating an archive (successfully) thunar implodes with coredump (see attached thunar-coredump.txt).
This happens on a local drive (not a remote mount) in regular user home directories.

Reboot (with the purpose of having up-to-date libs loaded) doesn't fix these spontaneous coredumps.

Not sure if it is related but journalctl has another coredump related to tumblerd service. (see another attached file journalctl.log), although it shouldn't really force thunar to vanish IMHO.

Let me know if you need more info

Additional info:
thunar 4.18.2 (Xfce 4.18)
Linux hx90 6.1.5-arch2-1

This is more than likely an upstream issue. Before reporting upstream, you'll need to produce a backtrace with debugging symbols included. Please install gdb then follow [1].

After I installed the only remaining optional dependencies of tumblerd I did not have (libgepub & libopenraw), neither tumblerd nor thunar ¯\_(°ʖ°)_/¯coredumps occur any more.
¯\_(°ʖ°)_/¯
