libtool filters LDFLAGS removing --as-needed so there is some overlinking as detected by namcap
clanlib W: Unused shared library '/usr/lib/libm.so.6' by file ('usr/lib/libclan41App-4.1.so.1.0.0')
clanlib W: Unused shared library '/usr/lib/libm.so.6' by file ('usr/lib/libclan41GL-4.1.so.1.0.0')
clanlib W: Unused shared library '/usr/lib/libm.so.6' by file ('usr/lib/libclan41Network-4.1.so.1.0.0')
clanlib W: Unused shared library '/usr/lib/libm.so.6' by file ('usr/lib/libclan41XML-4.1.so.1.0.0')

The sed invocation adds --as-needed back. Same issue as for example  FS#69965
