something goes wrong on archlinux with the strstr function and causes crashes to nautilus the bug is already reported on http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454799 and many people are encountering it and reporting duplicates ... the developers needs of a set of packages[1] compiled with the debugging symbols but they are not included by default in the archlinux packages could someone help their with that? I've seen the reply of Jan on the GNOME's bugzilla system, seems that he has the needed data to solve the bug ... so thank you very much, the attention of the community also on these topics is for me another good reason to choice archlinux, hoping to be able to do something of more useful for the distro in the near future :+)

This bug also happens on 2.19.x which I'm running a full debug build of, so there's no need for others to debug it then. I tracked down the problem to invalid unicode filenames. A patch is in bugzilla now, but it's quite hacky, I don't know if it's the right way to go. I hope my bug additions/changes spammed the developers enough to take a look at it too, so this can get fixed soon.
