Hello,
I maintain a small patch that allows to add more than one output per monitor. This allows to split a large screen (e.g. an ultra-wide screen) into multiple virtual screens. The discussion can be found at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/-/issues/2013#note_1564528 Unfortunately, there seems almost no active development in xorg, so the patch did not received any attention yet. I have added the patch to the PKGBUILD: https://github.com/micw/xorg-split-screen-archlinux/tree/packages/xorg-server Would you consider to add this to the official package? Kind regards, Michael. |

Reason for closing: Won't implement
Additional comments about closing: Arch philosophy is to ship plain upstream releases.

This kind of thing really should be upstreamed first. Otherwise
probably more suited to the AUR.
