Details

the gkrellmd rc.d script does:
killall -KILL gkrellmd &>/dev/null
it should use pidof and such to avoid this

What rc.d script are you talking about? I don't see it in gkrellm package.

This was my fault, there's no file on rc.d, you're right. Sorry for the trouble.
