Details

Description:
When I upgraded madwifi to the latest version, the ath0 device was not created on startup, and bringing up the interface on boot caused an error.

Additional info:
* This occurs in madwifi-0.9.3.1.99-1 but not 0.9.3.1-1
* In errors.log: Jul 25 11:15:13 porygon2 dhcpcd[4734]: ath0: ioctl SIOCGIFHWADDR: No such device

1. Install madwifi-0.9.3.1.99-1
2. Reboot

Can you post your dmesg, lsmod, and ifconfig -a. Also, which kernel are you using?

The kernel version would also be helpful as the reason why I updated to a tested trunk version of madwifi was kernel interna that changed in .22. Could have happened again.
Please post your dmesg output.
