In line 436 of /usr/bin/archlinux-repro, pacstrap is called with the parameter "-dd", but the "-d" parameter has been removed in arch-install-scripts 28-1:

https://github.com/archlinux/arch-install-scripts/commit/91562aa99cd8237a2dec1aff5101949e40bf7d75

I thus suspect archlinux-repro to be incompatible with arch-install-scripts >=28-1.

The option parsing in `pacstrap` is not clever and stops parsing once it sees the mount target. The `-dd` used in the script is passed down to `pacman` and equals `pacman -Udd`.

Oh ok, thanks for the hint. I had just stumbled across this by accident while debugging the issue in https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/76635, but had not actually tested this 😳

I'll tripple check my assumptions later today before closing it :) Thanks for taking the time to check!

I've just checked this with "archlinux-repro ./nginx-mainline-1.23.2-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst" and no errors occurred, so your assumptions were probably correct. :)
