Description:

My Epiphany crashes a lot so I have posted a bug report on the gnome bug tracker. I have been told that the crashes are in the libssl, and that epiphany should not be linked against it, so I was suggested this is a bug in Arch Linux package:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=457157

Additional info:
* package version(s) 2.18.3-1
* config and/or log files etc. Attached stack trace

Steps to reproduce:
Just browse. Some url which causes frequent crashes are www.corriere.it and www.sole24ore.it, but it crashes with other urls too.
This task depends upon

Do you have any plugins installed that would link to libssl? In the whole epiphany/xulrunner/nspr/nss stack there's nothing that links to libssl or libcrypto and I've never seen a backtrace like this before.

Sorry I can't be very precise since I don't use Arch Linux any more... I left this bug opened as I thought it could be usefull in case someone else was experiencing the same issue.

I wasn't using any plugins, but I was using kdemod (I had a complete KDE installation plus a full gnome install). But I did rebuild most of the package involved from the PKGBUILD (from abs), so some dynamic link in the backtrace could be due to an automagical dependency.

If needed I still have a tarball with the full Arch install somewhere...

Thanks for your help!
