Description:
The Device Security panel is broken in Gnome 43.1 if gnome-firmware is not installed. The Device Security panel should be disabled if gnome-firmware is not installed, otherwise gnome-firmware should be pulled in as a dependency. It only needs fwupd, not gnome-firmware.
You're totally right. It doesn't seem like I can edit the bug
report though.
This is already covered by "fwupd" being an optional dep for
"gnome-software" which is part of the "gnome" group.

I feel like the correct thing to do here is to make
gnome-control-center work independently from either the gnome
group as a whole (not everyone needs the entire group) or
gnome-software (not everyone wants gnome-software installed).
fwupd should probably be installed with gnome-control-center if it
doesn't work properly without it.
