Details
Description:
During browsing, CPU usage spikes for the firefox process and does not go down. Closing the firefox window does not terminate all associated processes (the firefox, Socket Process, RDD Process and Utility Process remain). Sending SIGKILL to these processes makes them report zero resource usage, but they are not terminated. Doing a proper shutdown does not work, as the systemd process is reporting it's waiting for services to terminate. The wait interval is always increased, a normal shutdown never happens. Additional info: * package version(s) Observed since firefox 104, but can't rule out earlier versions are not affected * config and/or log files etc. Could not reproduce with a clean profile yet. But can't rule out it does not happen there as well (see Steps to reproduce). Please net me know where I could find appropriate logs. * link to upstream bug report, if any Steps to reproduce: The bug seems to appear randomly. I do not have kept a log so far, but it happens around once per day, but definitely around different times. I usually have two windows of firefox open at the same time. |

There is not enough information here to identify an Arch packaging
bug. firefox works fine for me and most other folks. Please visit
the proper support channels (forum/IRC/etc) to seek help in trying
to identify the root cause on your system.
