Description:
Hello!

Fractal isn't no longer able to login and fails with "BrokenPipe". I'm afraid the recent changes have broken Fractal?

If you had already previously a login it maybe shows the message "Error searching for rooms." in the UI.

Before trying the suggestions below, what if you add the following to the end of prepare()
cargo update --aggressive -p reqwest

Does building with the attached diff resolve the issue? Does fractal-git [1] have the issue? Upstream report for OpenSSL 3 incompatibility [2].

I have the same issue, fractal git doesn't have the issue though.

Please try rebuilding with the attached diff applied. It uses openssl-1.1 and rust 1.50.0 to avoid making any changes to the bundled crates.

For what it's worth, I was able to successfully rebuild fractal and sign into the matrix.org server using the attached diff, which is identical to the above diff posted on 4 December, but with updated sha256sums.

I'm sorry. Failed to test the new PKGBUILD. Upstream decided to care a little bit about the stable version:

The patch itself shouldn't be necessary anymore:
