Description:

I set up Cinnamon, and desklets are not working at all. When I add a desklet, a brief red error icon flashes in the UI next to the desklet, but vanishes in less than a second. There are no
related error messages that I can find-- the only output about the desklet is that the settings were successfully loaded.

I'm happy to do some additional debugging, but I don't know where to start-- looking-glass didn't give me any more info than the sparse logs.

I filed an upstream issue about this ( https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues/11265), but it was closed and I was told to contact the arch maintainer of the project instead.

I just tried this in a new VM with a fresh install. Works fine. There are no other reports about this. There must be something specific about your system causing it. Please visit the proper support channels (form/IRC/etc) to seek help in debugging the issue.
