DetailsI don't know when it started but whenever I insert a disc to my external dvd-rw or plug a USB (1 GB) flash disk in or plug my 300 GB external hd in (again via USB) they wait for a long time. I guess that something in the kernel does that but I'm not sure..
When I plug my external USB HD, I have to wait about 2-3 minutes.. Then Nautilus shows what's inside.. I'm pretty sure that the devices are fine. My internal CD-ROM works fine by the way... I mean when I insert a CD into the internal cdrom it's readed immediately. But if I insert it into the USB external DVD-RW drive, then I have to wait for it to get recognized and listed in Nautilus.. |
