Alongside python-tomli-w and python-rich which have been mentioned in other tickets, two more that I found necessary to run Hatch are
- python-httpx
- python-hatchling

I'd strongly advice to run a check() with the tests, this should catch such errors (may require to not use pypi sources as they tend to exclude tests).
