If I check ffmpg with command ffmpeg -encoders
ffmpeg version n5.1.2 Copyright (c) 2000-2022 the FFmpeg developers
built with gcc 12.2.0 (GCC)

On supported list isn't jpegxl (jxl). There was few days ago new libjxl version (v0.7.0) and mpv in git master branch support saving sreenshot as jxl image files. Without jxl support in ffmpeg, you can;t save screenshots as jxl in mpv.
