Mplayer (mplayer-1.0pre3.2-1.pkg.tar.gz) doesn't work with v4l or v4l2 ("No such driver"). The one built from source works fine.

I hope you did not submit this  bug 4  times hoping it would get immediate attention or something, that's quite rude.

Also, I've addressed this issue before, I think it was you then too.

(To recap: this is one of those cases you'll have to build the pkg yourself, building v4l support in the past, made mplayer unstable as the code was a big hack)

I will give it another look sometime and see if they've cleaned it up enough to make it part of the mplayer package, it's simply too little-demanded a feature to hassle over just for a few users (none of which have complained except you, twice already)

Oh, no! I've submit it just once :) I don't know what was wrong with flyspray.

Ok, no problem! It's not difficult for me to build it from source. I use v4l with mplayer just to visualize my vcr's output for subsequent capturing. I thougt the feature enabled in kernel should be included in packages. Maybe it'll be usefull to have some kind of list of the enabled/disabled features in each package.
