Lame (lame-3.95-1.pkg.tar.gz) fails with segfault when encoding some wav files with --vbr-new switch. 100% reproducible. The build from source lame works perfectly in the same situations (build with flags: -march=i686 -O2 -pipe".

It's not the same situation because the configure script detects different devices and different components installed on your system.

Can you give me the exact commandline you typed? It is working perfectly fine here
My test: lame --vbr-new sample.wav

I use the same command line.
In ~80% of cases this works fine, but there are some wav files causing the segfault - always reproducible at the same (for the given file) point.

I see. That's a lame bug, you might want to report straight to them. Not much I can do about that. Closing bug..
