Description:

PyDispatcher-0.0.0-py3.10.egg-info contains wrong version number (0.0.0). File name should also include actual version number.


Additional info:
* package version: python-pydispatcher 2.0.6-1

Warnings about distutils are issued during the build.

makedepending on python-setuptools makes the warnings go away and egg-info looks saner.

I too had this exact issue. Adding the following line to PKGBUILD and compiling the package myself fixed the issue:
makedepends=('python-setuptools')

This properly created versioning of PyDispatcher, so now I have
ls /usr/lib/python3.10/site-packages/PyDispatcher-2.0.6-py3.10.egg-info/

Using the original package, like OP mentioned, gives version 0.0.0 which breaks the package Scrapy which depends on PyDispatcher.
