Description:

System aborts boot. I did a full system upgrade and was greeted with [Failure] Failed to start apply cpupower-gui config at boot. I switched to tty6 and basics like networking failed, only available network device was lo. I downgraded everything I hat updated and found out it only appears when I upgrade the kernel. I also deleted cpupower-gui (an aur package) and updated the kernel which leads to a black screen on boot without any error message at all.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.
* link to upstream bug report, if any

I use LVM and have an encrypted hard drive.

Steps to reproduce:
Update Kernel from 5.19.6 to 5.19.7, reboot.

Reason for closing:  Not a bug
Additional comments about closing:  Reporter says "After downgrading to a lower kernel version I'm thinking the problem is from the fallout of a previous buggy grub update and not from the kernel itself."

Your BootLog says "Linux version 5.15.64-1-lts". Wrong log?

Sorry, you are right, I redid my steps and created a new boot log with journalctl -b, I deleted cpupower-gui and upgraded only the Kernel from 5.19.6.arch1-1 to 5.19.7.arch1-1. The log states 5.19.6.arch1-1 which confuses me because after failing to boot I switched to tty6 and successfully downgraded with pacman -U to 5.19.6.arch1-1 from 5.19.7.arch1-1. I also added the boot log of the downgraded kernel version as workingBootLog.txt.

Am I overseeing something?

P.s. the new LTS kernel version also fails to boot on my system.
