Rémi Denis-Courmont, the developer of VLC characterized our package as "badly broken" due to the warnings running vlc in verbose mode generates.[1] While that thread I referenced is about building VLC on an Arch fork, I specifically tested our package as a control. Although our package plays back a test file, running cvlc in verbose mode gave the messages which Rémi found "badly broken."

I am thinking these are due to optional dependencies I do not have installed, but wanted to open a ticket for you guys to review.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Download this test clip: https://www.larmoire.info/jellyfish/media/jellyfish-90-mbps-hd-hevc-10bit.mkv
2. cvlc -vv --file-logging --logfile arch.log jellyfish-90-mbps-hd-hevc-10bit.mkv

I attached the log file for reference.

Thanks for the heads up. The comment is of course valid, but the warnings are to be expected in the context of a Linux distro which takes advantage of dynamic module loading and optional deps. I don't think there is anything actionable for us here.
