DetailsDescription:
The Applications panel in Gnome Control Center is empty (shows no applications) from version gnome-control-center-42.1-2 upwards when the malcontent package is not installed. Installing malcontent solves the issue, but also pulls in flatpak as a dependency, which is not always wanted. This seems to be an Arch issue only, see upstream bug report. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/1885 Additional info: * gnome-control-center-42.1-2 and newer * upstream bug report: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/1885 Steps to reproduce: * Install Arch Linux with a basic gnome configuration without installing 'malcontent' and 'flatpak'. * run 'gnome-control-center -v applications': there is nothing to see. + install 'malcontent' and run run 'gnome-control-center -v applications' again: Applications are shown. |
