I'm currently running the downloaded archive from official website. I'm using the following arguments required because of java UI (fonts and popups) doesn't display well under wayland :

AWT_TOOLKIT=MToolkit _JAVA_OPTIONS="-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=on -Dswing.aatext=true" /path/to/SweetHome3D-7.0.2/SweetHome3D "$@"

$ archlinux-java status
Available Java environments:
java-11-openjdk
java-18-jdk
java-18-openjdk (default)

@muflone Java3D is 1.6.

Java3D was replaced by bundled Java3D 1.5 as many users had issues with Java3D 1.6

Which forced the need to use older Java versions
