Description:
electron doesn't set app_id under wayland, so some weird behavior occurs in different WM. It's been fixed in upstream, but wouldn't been released very soon.

electron 19.0.9 already has the patch, and the first 20.x release will have it too, so only electron18 remains to be patched.

Yes, but vscode is using electron 18.

The fix has now been released upstream in 18.3.6: https://github.com/electron/electron/releases/tag/v18.3.6
