DetailsEvince crashes with SIGABRT while scrolling PDF document from top to bottom to top. I guess that the issue is 3D plots on a page 59 in arXiv:1801.09767v3 (https://arxiv.org/abs/1801.09767v3).

So these aborts are usually always due to poppler. Have you reported upstream? Can you get traces? There is a new poppler release not yet packaged by Arch so maybe you could try compiling that yourself and report back.
