I was testing Cinnamon in a virtual machine, and I noticed I was unable to launch Cinnamon Control Center. Here is the output I got in command line: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/cinnamon/cinnamon-settings/cinnamon-settings.py", line 2, in <module> from bin import util File "/usr/share/cinnamon/cinnamon-settings/bin/util.py", line 3, in <module> gi.require_version('GSound', '1.0') File "/usr/lib/python3.10/site-packages/gi/__init__.py", line 126, in require_version raise ValueError('Namespace %s not available' % namespace) ValueError: Namespace GSound not available Additional info: * cinnamon-control-center 5.4.0-1 Steps to reproduce: Just install Cinnamon and try to launch control center. Fix: installing gsound. |
