Description:
applealu_jis xkb_model does not work after upgrading xkeyboard-config 2.36-1.
It solves by downgrading to 2.35.1-1
replacing /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/macintosh_vndr/jp manually does not work.

keyboard plugon of mate-settings-daemon is disabled.

Steps to reproduce:
Update to xkeyboard-config 2.36-1 and reboot mate-session.
Try to type ( but * is typed.
Downgrade to 2.35.1-1 and reboot mate-session.
Try to type ( and ( is typed.
