Description:

The CONFIG_I8K config parameter has been removed from the kernel as of version 5.18:

As mentioned in the following post, the CONFIG_I8K parameter has been commented out and is no longer tristate but bistate.

From https://github.com/vitorafsr/i8kutils/issues/34#issuecomment-1140466643, it looks like the necessary replacement interfaces are present in 5.19 so perhaps this config item could be retained until then?
