Description:

The Archwiki f2fs page[1] suggests using "whint_mode=fs-based" while mounting an f2fs partition. However, Linux 5.18 has removed this mount option as it is considered deprecated[2], and the kernel document about f2fs has already removed it[3].

Users who still keep "whint_mode=fs-based" in their /etc/fstab would end up in the emergency mode after upgrading the kernel to 5.18.

Anyone should be able to edit the wiki to fix documentation. It appears to have been edited already on 5 Jun.
