IMO it would be a *very* nice feature if the Archlinux ISOs supported a boot parameter that allows specifying one or perhaps even multiple public keys to be added to /root/.ssh/authorized_keys, and that would trigger sshd.service to be started on boot. Up until now, the only way to achieve a similar result appears to be crafting your own ISO image, which is obviously a tedious task that takes a lot of time, effort and disk space.

I do not think it's worthwhile implementing something like this.

sshd.service is already started by default in the live environment and you do not need to create your own ISO from scratch just to add something to authorized_keys. Simply follow https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Install_Arch_Linux_via_SSH#Installation_on_a_headless_server .

This feature would mainly be useful to usage on headless/remote servers that lack IPMI or similar features.

I suggest opening an issue in https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/archiso/-/issues (no guarantees on accepting this feature request). We don't really use bugs.archlinux.org for archiso issues anymore.
