IMO it would be a *very* nice feature if the Archlinux ISOs
supported a boot parameter that allows specifying one or
perhaps even multiple public keys to be added to
/root/.ssh/authorized_keys, and that would trigger
sshd.service to be started on boot. Up until now, the only
way to achieve a similar result appears to be crafting your
own ISO image, which is obviously a tedious task that takes
a lot of time, effort and disk space.

This task depends upon
sshd.service is already started by default in the live environment and you do not need to create your own ISO from scratch just to add something to authorized_keys. Simply follow https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Install_Arch_Linux_via_SSH#Installation_on_a_headless_server .
