DetailsI'm not really familiar with chains and mining stuff, but it's the gss package that caught my attention. Is it actually correct that p2pool uses a GSS API library that has been unmaintained for whole 7 years? Nowadays the primary GSS API implementation comes from libgssapi in core/krb5 (or aur/heimdal), while the GNU GSS+Shishi projects are just completely dead.
I took a quick look at p2pool's git repo and looks like it had external/libzmq in the past, which indeed used to link against MIT/Heimdal libgssapi (libgssapi_krb5 even) and *not* GNU libgss. However, it seems like libzmq was removed and the main project doesn't even use any gss_ functions at all, so it might be simpler to patch 'gss' out from the CMakefile rather than have an obsolete library packaged... |
