DetailsWhen an FTP install is done on x86_64 with the Duke FTP install CD, packages will not download. Upon being told to install the selected packages, the installer will properly refresh the pacman database, and query the user on whether to cache the packages, as it should; it will then display the "downloading packages" message, but not actually download anything, and simply sit there doing nothing until the user interrupts it. VC 5 shows the proper messages, and no errors.
The installer IS responsive at this point - the user can force it to go back to the main menu, etc. It simply doesn't install anything. |
This task depends upon
2) what mirror do you use?
2) I thought this was a mirror problem at first, so I checked it with pretty much all the mirrors that had pacman 3.5.0-2 (didn't feel like reinstalling the base system after install). Package lists downloaded from all of them (and from other mirrors that weren't up to date yet), but I couldn't download packages from any.
