DetailsDescription:
Archinstall doesn't accept passwords with intervals in them. I was trying the archinstall script in a VM and wanted to set pw (without the quotes) "1 1" (which is "1interval1") but when finished, the script displayed "set root password: None". Additional info: archlinux-2022.05.01-x86_64.iso Steps to reproduce: 1. Run the ISO. 2. Type archinstall. 3. Go to "Set root password" and enter any password with interval in it. Even pressing space once as a pasword will do the job. 4. Press "save and exit" or whatever was the function to leave that menu. 5. Look at the section "set root password" and you'll see the word "None" next to it. |
