I'm not sure if this intentional, but with the change in [1], only one of four patches are applied. For example, wpa_supplicant_dbus_service_syslog.patch is no longer applied, so running something like "wpa_cli -i wlp3s0 scan_results" as root now results in a "Failed to connect to non-global ctrl_ifname: wlp3s0 error: No such file or directory" error message instead of normal output. To be specific, I am using the D-Bus version of the wpa_supplicant service through NetworkManager.
