The new version 5.7 doesn't display tray icon in xfce4-panel (in status-tray-plugin).The option 'Wait for systray' doesn't help either. The xpad changelog mentions this: 'Fix: Replace libappindicator with libayatana-appindicator, since libappindicator is not maintained.
