Although not expressly mentioned in the upstream "Required tools" list[0], usage of John The Ripper is illustrated in the sixth screenshot of [1] and is clearly part of the tool's feature set (`--crack` option). Weirdly enough, john is neither a required nor an optional dependencies of *any* package in the official repo[2]. As such, even after installing all wifite optdepends we cannot use this feature.
