Detailscloud-init 22.1-1 does not provide a /etc/hosts template for arch, therefore failing to correctly set /etc/hosts when using the arch cloud image which throws off some software.
The easy fix I've been doing now (by building my own image) was to copy the /etc/cloud/templates/hosts.debian.tmpl to /etc/cloud/templates/hosts.arch.tmpl (the debian template is roughly equal to what the arch install guide recommends for host entries). It would be amazing to have such a template in the cloud-init package. I'm not sure if this fits here or should rather be reported upstream to the cloud-init devs. If so please let me know and close this issue. |
