After upgrade:
intel-media-driver 22.2.2-1 -> 21.4.3-1
intel-gmmlib 22.1.2-1 -> 21.3.5-1

vainfo
libva error: /usr/lib/dri/iHD_drv_video.so init failed
vaInitialize failed with error code 1 (operation failed),exit

for example: hardware decode stops working in chromium

Downgrade solves the problem

Steps to reproduce:
Upgrade intel-media-driver to 22.2.2-1 and intel-gmmlib to 22.1.2-1

correction, after upgrade:
intel-media-driver 21.4.3-1 -> 22.2.2-1
intel-gmmlib 21.3.5-1 -> 22.1.2-1

Rebuild intel-media-driver 22.2.2 with installed intel-gmmlib 22.1.2-1 solves the problem

Downgrading intel-gmmlib 22.1.2-1 -> 22.0.3-1 is enough to restore functionality.

Rebuilding intel-media-driver against uptodate intel-gmmlib is enough to fix the issue as well.

I ran in the same problem; rendering in kdenlive using the hevc_qsv codec crashed the process.

I can confirm that after rebuilt of the intel-media-driver against the current version of intel-gmmlib it was possible again to render projects in kdenlive without problems.
