Since upgrading to 1.0.25, aur package libfprint-2-tod1-xps9300-bin [0] has been broken and makes fprintd segfault. This seems to be the same bug as [1] and can be fixed by applying an upstream patch [2]. As a side note, Ubuntu and fedora are pulling a few other patches, may be useful..

Seems like problem has been solved. Try update libusb up to 1.0.26-1.


I agree this is fixed.
